Artist's Description
Little cormorant .
Cormorant is a large diving bird with a long neck, long hooked bill, short legs, and mainly dark plumage. It has a beautiful aqua blue eye, (Green Blue Eyes) . Little cormorants live in lowland freshwater bodies, including small ponds, large lakes, streams and sometimes coastal estuaries. Like other cormorants, it is often found perched on a waterside rock with its wings spread out after coming out of the water.

Hi Ramabhadran! It looks very much like a Little Black Cormorant (Phalacrocorax sulcirostris) rather than a Little Cormorant (Microcarbo Niger). Excellent image.
